PV Fluid Products specializes in the design, supply, and support of mud motor power sections used in downhole, horizontal and directional drilling. The power section design is based on the progressing cavity (pc) moineau principle.


Job Summary

The Plant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of production for a well-run, fast paced manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will be the key leader involved in process improvement efforts, especially as it relates to the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and evaluation of new production and product capabilities.  PV is experiencing significant growth, therefore the opportunities for successful individuals can be significant. 


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and evaluate man/machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee the production, quality, and efficiency of the Production Department.
  • Hands-on experience with a high comfort level in having multi-task responsibilities.
  • Participate in Engineering and Customer Service meetings; prepare reports and analysis for management.
  • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Set ambitious productions goals and communicate them to all employees by establishing a set of clear, relevant set of metrics.
  • Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees.
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product integrity.
  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Training- Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 7 + years’ experience in a production flow environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification Green Belt
  • 8 + years’ experience in a management capacity preferred.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven track report of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on an individual and team basis.
  • Experience in implementing elements of lean manufacturing with demonstrated & sustained results
  • Energetic with the ability to inspire a sense of urgency in others
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote subordinates
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining a disciplined manufacturing operation with a focus on delivering consistent results with a respect for the individual employee
  • O & G Industry a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize customer’s requests.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to our dynamic environment.

Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
  • Exposure to a production environment.
