Stator Manufacturing Engineer

PV Fluid Products specializes in the design, supply and support of mud motor power sections used in downhole, horizontal and directional drilling. The power section design is based on the progressing cavity (pc) moineau principle.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for manufacturing and relining of stators for usage in oilfield directional drilling. 
  • Design manufacturing processes, layouts of manufacturing plants, tools, jigs, and assembly lines by using analytical approaches, and applying proven structured process improvement techniques to support manufacturing operations and key external suppliers. 
  • Responsible for coordinating projects including timelines, test equipment validation IQ/OQ/PQ, standard operating procedures, forms, and training. 
  • Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in making minor modifications to existing manufacturing components using knowledge of stator manufacturing and relining.
  • Develop new methods to manufacture components, parts, and sub-assemblies to enhance throughput and/or lower manufacturing cost including equipment design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations and report preparation. 
  • Develop and perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control using Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions. 
  • Support and participate in the Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.  Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness. 
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities and production schedules to facilitate production processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Training

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering



  • One year of experience as a Stator Technician performing the manufacturing and relining of stators for usage in oilfield directional drilling.
