Stator Supervisor (2nd Shift)

PV Fluid Products specializes in the design, supply and support of mud motor power sections used in downhole, horizontal and directional drilling. The power section design is based on the progressing cavity (pc) moineau principle.

Job Summary

The Stator Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day manufacturing process of new stators and reline stators on the Shop floor. The Stator Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that Stator Shop employees are complying with the stated processes and procedures. The Stator Supervisor will administer corrective actions, as needed, and report activities to the Operations Manager. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  •  Provide clear direction to the Stator Shop employees in order to align with the company's Strategic and Tactical goals.

  • Ensure that data entered in the ERP software is correct before jobs are shipped.
  • Ensure personnel are trained in Standard Work while working toward certification.
  • Use Qualification Card to maintain visibility of progress.
  • Maintain filing system for each Stator Tech (one for completed Qualification Cards and the other for In-Process certification).
  • Conduct daily production meetings with Utility Technician and submit production report to Operation Manager at the end of their shift.
  • Include schedule attainment, equipment status, material availability, personnel issues, 5S activity, and audit results.
  • Manage the day-to-day work schedule of Stator Shop employees and provide corrective action as needed.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors, Engineering, production control, quality, and other Shop personnel to resolve machining, quality, personnel, or production issues.

  • Ensure personnel are adhering to the company's policies and process procedures administer disciplinary procedures as needed.

    • Create warnings from this data.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas by maintaining 5S standards.
    • Use 5S checklist.
  • Maintain the department’s quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, Company, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience 

  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

Physical and Safety Requirement 

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
  • Exposure to production environment.
