PV Fluid Products specializes in the design, supply and support of mud motor power sections used in downhole, horizontal and directional drilling. The power section design is based on the progressing cavity (pc) moineau principle.

Job Summary

The primary focus of the position will be to perform data management and provide data analytics support to the Drilling Applications Engineering team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develop, implement and manage data collection repositories, and perform data analytics

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide periodic reports

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Data quality assurance - filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators

Develop dashboards and templates for fast data analysis and reporting

Support the Drilling Applications Engineering team

Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

Other duties as assigned. 

Education and Training

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Management, Statistics or Computer Science

Experience

  • 1-3 years of working experience as a data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, data management and data mining
  • Relevant professional experience in Oil and Gas, mainly focused on drilling optimization
  • Proficiency with Spotfire/Tableau, R -scripting in TERR a plus.
  • Power BI knowledge a plus
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.

  • Ability to write programs and code (scripting)
  • Comfortable in small office environment
  • Committed to project deadlines • Self-starter individual with good communication skills
  • Strong business analysis/problem-solving skills 

Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
  • Exposure to production environment.
